this is so typical of me. to have just returned to school from a week-long break, facing the pressures of last-minute assignments and fourth round tests before finals arrive, and all i want to do is express myself. to distract myself in anyway possible that will drag me away from the textbooks and into the world of creativity and imagination. i have found that there are few better ways to do that than to look through old pictures, so here is a sampling of a few of my favorites over the past few years. admittedly, some of these are more than just a "few" years old, but that just means that i have to admit to the fact that i am growing older, which of course i am not.

I hope that today will be the start of a new trend: the start of me updating my blog regularly. For all of you people out there who are still stuck in the 20th century and do not have facebooks (or maybe you're just more admirable than me),perhaps this will be a way for me to keep in touch with you all. Or perhaps this will simply be a venue for me to post my pictures, snapshots that reflect what I am doing or exploring at that time, or that merely show Meredith the [wannabe] artist at work. Photography is something that I am passionate about, and I want to give others a glimpse into this aspect of my life, something that has become so much a part of who I am without me even really intending for it to be.

The skies in Blacksburg are one of the things that have made me fall in love with this place. Everywhere you look, there is evidence of our Creator and how He placed us in a world where we could truly enjoy Him through the beautiful things he allows us to see.
